Ball transfer units SP60 in turned steel: ideal for the most challenging production fields
Our ball transfer unit SP 60, made of turned steel, is for sure one of the most used in these specific production fields. Characterized by the main ball having 60 mm diameter, it is available in the version with standard flange and, in case of specific needs or installations, it can be carried out in the versions with special “cuspide” flange (differentiated by a greater inclination) or dritta (without flange).
The three versions of ball transfer unit SP 60 are all provided with hardening treatment and a special zinc coating, to grant a longer duration and higher resistance to the atmospheric agents.
Our SP 60 is usually provided with oiled felt seal, except for the version with main ball in nylon material (it has however to be emphasized, that this latter version is rarely used, considering the limited load capacity in relation to its dimensions).
It is supplied with a hole on the bottom to allow the exit of impurities.
Ball transfer unit SP 60: load capacity and application fields
Our ball transfer unit SP 60, in all above listed variants, can reach a load capacity of about 1500 kg in the B version, which is with chrome steel balls AISI 52100. The C version, with stainless steel balls AISI 420C, can grant a load capacity of about 900 kg. It is particularly important to specify these technical details, considering the complexity of the application fields of these solutions.
On request and according to the specific environment of use, our ball transfer unit SP60 can be carried out completely in stainless steel material AISI 420, under vacuum hardened. Even in this case, its load capacity –which is determined by the kind of balls used- will still be of 900 kg.
