Ball transfer unit features

Home 5 Ball transfer unit features

The ball transfer unit is a technical component which is mainly used (but not only) in linear movement systems. It consists of a housing made of turned steel, machined from bar or pressed metal sheet inside which a precision ball of big diameter called “main ball” rolls, being placed on a specific number of small diameter balls, called “support balls”.
The main feature of a ball transfer unit is to allow the omnidirectional movement of small and big loads, easily and with the utmost smoothness.

Our production range includes several sizes, which are determined by the diameter of the main ball: in case of the steel version turned from bar, it starts from a diameter of 8 mm. up to a maximum diameter of 90 mm.
The differences are also determined by the type of ball inserted, since balls can be in chrome steel, stainless steel or plastic materials.
The materials used for other components range from steel or stainless steel, to pressed metal sheet or plastic.
